Podcast 16.1 Transcript
Welcome to Thursday Thoughts at Resonant 7, where we reflect on the reality of God and resolve to let it resound in our lives, repeatedly. Let’s think about this.
Crown Him with many crowns, The Lamb upon His throne;
His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. Revelation 19:12 ESV
This describes Jesus, riding His white Horse, and called Faithful and True and The Word of God. Before we admonish others to crown Him, we must be willing to do it ourselves. Tell Him that He is worthy of all the crowns we could ever bring, Jesus the Lamb upon His throne.
Hark! How the heav’nly anthem drowns All music but its own!
Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” Revelation 5:11-12 ESV
How I look forward to lifting my voice in that eternal song! They are singing even now. Join them and tell Him He is worthy!
Awake, my soul and sing Of Him Who died for thee,
Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise. You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy! Isaiah 26:19a ESV
Because of what Jesus accomplished that week in Jerusalem we will enjoy an eternal city where we will sing to the One who died for us and rose again. Awaken your soul to give praise to Jesus for this promise of life beyond the grave even in the Old Testament!
And hail Him as thy matchless King Through all eternity.
And from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood Revelation 1:5 ESV
This is the One we hail as the matchless King. May our souls never grow weary in this lifetime of declaring the fullness of Who He is. Glory hallelujah! Crown Him with many crowns, Jesus, the ruler of kings on earth!
Take a few moments to talk to Jesus about what has come to your mind, or listen to what He is saying to you, then I will read our text once more.
Crown Him with many crowns,
The Lamb upon His throne;
Hark! How the heav’nly anthem drowns
All music but its own!
Awake, my soul and sing
Of Him Who died for thee,
And hail Him as thy matchless King
Through all eternity.
Take the awareness of God’s presence cultivated in these last few minutes into the next ones and beyond. Until next time, be Resonant.
