Podcast 22.5 Transcript
Welcome to Thursday Thoughts at Resonant 7, where we reflect on the reality of God and resolve to let it resound in our lives, repeatedly. Let’s think about this.
All glory and praise
My mouth is filled with your praise, and with your glory all the day. Psalm 71:8 ESV
God is worthy of all glory and praise, not just some of it. We have spent the last few weeks considering different reasons why He is so worthy and will remember a few more this week as well. As we begin this final stanza, commit to put into practice all you have learned to praise Him.
To the God of all grace,
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 1 Peter 5:10 ESV
And here is another reason He is so worthy. Even when we are suffering we can rest in the grace of our God to carry us through it. But not only that, to also strengthen and establish us on the other side of it. Give praise to the God of all grace.
Who hast brought us, and sought us,
He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again. 2 Corinthians 1:10 ESV
Indeed God has brought us through again and again. Deadly perils have not consumed us because He delivered us. For this reason we choose to set our hope on Him believing that He will deliver us again. Declare your hope in Him again today.
And guided our ways.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Psalm 32:8 ESV
We have all stood at different crossroads in life, times we were not sure whether to turn left or right. When we look to God we can rest in the fact that He will guide us in the way we should go. Because we are His He has his eyes on us. Rejoice in that.
Take a few moments to talk to Jesus about what has come to your mind, or listen to what He is saying to you, then I will read our text once more, with the refrain.
All glory and praise
To the God of all grace,
Who hast brought us, and sought us,
And guided our ways.
Refrain
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Hallelujah! Amen.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Revive us again.
Take the mindfulness of God’s presence cultivated in these last few minutes into the next ones and beyond. Until next time, Be Resonant.
