Podcast 22.3 Transcript
Welcome to Thursday Thoughts at Resonant 7, where we reflect on the reality of God and resolve to let it resound in our lives, repeatedly. Let’s think about this.
All glory and praise
Saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” Revelation 5:12 ESV
What a glorious day that will be when we join our voices with the myriads and thousands around the throne singing our “Hallelujah” to the One Who is worthy of them all. But why wait? Give praise to Jesus today in anticipation of that great day!
To the Lamb that was slain,
The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29 ESV
As John the Baptist saw his cousin approach He saw Him for Who He truly was and is, and glorified Him rightly. We too often fail to do the same. Jesus shows up unannounced in our lives and we let those moments pass. Ask Him to help you be quick to herald His presence.
Who hath borne all our sins,
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24 ESV
There is a purpose in our redemption that goes beyond having our sins taken away and gives us the wholesomeness to do so. We are to live to righteousness. But what does that mean? It means living to do right, as opposed to wrong. Will you make that choice and live to do right today?
And hath cleansed every stain.
“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. Isaiah 1:18 ESV
What a change Jesus has wrought in our standing before God! Having cleansed every stain He is worthy of all glory. We know that, but fail to live it out daily. Ask the Lamb of God to revive you again today, and empower you to give Him the praise He alone deserves.
Take a few moments to talk to Jesus about what has come to your mind, or listen to what He is saying to you, then I will read our text once more, with the refrain.
All glory and praise
To the Lamb that was slain,
Who hath borne all our sins,
And hath cleansed every stain.
Refrain:
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Hallelujah! Amen.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Revive us again.
Take the mindfulness of God’s presence cultivated in these last few minutes into the next ones and beyond. Until next time, Be Resonant.
