Podcast 22.1 Transcript
Welcome to Thursday Thoughts at Resonant 7, where we reflect on the reality of God and resolve to let it resound in our lives, repeatedly. Let’s think about this.
We praise Thee, O God!
Be exalted, O Lord, in your strength! We will sing and praise your power. Psalm 21:13 ESV
Praising God is a choice and commitment. We must make this choice based on His worth, and we make this commitment as a result of the choice. Have you made the choice to praise Him today? What will your praise look and sound like? Make the choice and the commitment.
For the Son of Thy love,
And behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17 ESV
And here is the brightest and best reason for which we praise God, His beloved Son who showed us the extent of God’s love. He loves so much that He was willing to sacrifice His Son so we could be redeemed. Thank God for His love again right now.
For Jesus Who died,
…Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures…1 Corinthians 15:3b-4 ESV
The Father was pleased with His Son because He was obedient. Jesus did everything exactly as the Father had planned and revealed in His word. He died, was buried, and rose again! Give praise to Jesus for fulfilling the Scriptures and ask Him to help you obey them.
And is now gone above.
Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 ESV
He endured the cross and despised the shame, but that was not the end. He ascended on high, and is seated above at the right hand of God. He did it all for the joy set before Him. Are you looking forward it? Are you willing to endure so you can rejoice? Ask Jesus to help you.
Take a few moments to talk to Jesus about what has come to your mind, or listen to what He is saying to you, then I will read our text once more, with the Refrain.
We praise Thee, O God!
For the Son of Thy love,
For Jesus Who died,
And is now gone above.
Refrain:
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Hallelujah! Amen.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Revive us again.
Take the mindfulness of God’s presence cultivated in these last few minutes into the next ones and beyond. Until next time,
Be Resonant.
